getting closer

Our tub and shower are finally complete.  We had a very maticulous installer that took extra time but we are happy it's finished and in the past tense.

The office counter top.  Checking out paint colors...we are wanting something different in here, we went with something quite different so we will see what it looks like and if we like it when we get it on the wall.

These bigger swatches are what we were looking at but got a lot more daring. The swatch on the right is our colors on the main level.

Wednesday through Friday Jerry Brummel and his crew locked our doors to all other crews so they could varnish the upper level 2nd and 3rd coats.  We will have the weekend for drying and look forward to progress next week.  We need to get both fireplace surrounds finished, the railing and ballasters on the stairs and the posts built down stairs.  The paint/staining crew will keep at it during this time and will lock the doors once again to final coat the lower level, quite a process.  I don't remember all of this when we built our first home.  We are getting anxious to get the trailer backed up and unloaded before Spring and the business that comes with it.  Next week we will clean windows, paint door frames and keep cleaning to help the crew out.  We have vacuumed cardboard a few times already to keep the dust and dirt down.  I look forward to vacuuming the real floor with a home vac instead of a shop vac.
